The standard 2.5-liter SKYACTIV-G four-cylinder engine with 191 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque powers the 2.5 S through 2.5 S Carbon Edition variants. The 2.5 Carbon Turbo and Turbo Premium Plus feature a 2.5-liter SKYACTIV-G Turbo engine producing 250 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque with 93 octane fuel or 227 horsepower and 310 pound-feet with regular 87 octane. A six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode is standard, with a six-speed manual available exclusively on the 2.5 S Premium hatchback. Front-wheel drive is standard on lower trims, while i-ACTIV All-Wheel Drive is available across the lineup and comes standard on Carbon Edition and Turbo models.

G-Vectoring Control Plus enhances cornering stability, and Sport Mode allows drivers to access more dynamic handling characteristics. The independent front MacPherson strut suspension and independent rear torsion beam setup balance comfort and sportiness.
