The CX-90 PHEV lineup offers three trim options, each proudly featuring Mazda’s e-SKYACTIV PHEV engine. This engine delivers superior fuel efficiency, reduced gas emissions, smooth and quiet cruising, and thrilling acceleration. Producing 323 horsepower and 369 lb.-ft. of torque, the e-SKYACTIV engine is revered by Mazda fans for combining the torque and power of a diesel engine with the free-revving nature of a gas engine. Every 2024 CX-90 PHEV comes equipped with an eight-speed SKYACTIV automatic transmission featuring manual shifting.

With an eye-catching and sculpted outer appearance, Mazda’s first plug-in hybrid includes automatic on/off auto-leveling LED headlights, LED taillights, and LED daytime running lights. The SUV’s side-view mirrors feature integrated LED turn-signal indicators, and each 2024 CX-90 PHEV comes standard with High Beam Control. This smart lighting system monitors sunlight, vehicle speed, and surrounding traffic to automatically toggle between low and high beams, maximizing visibility at all times.
Entering the Cabin
The three-row SUV offers stylish leather seating for up to eight occupants. Both the second and third rows have 60/40-split three-passenger benches that can be folded partially or entirely for extra cargo space. The second row includes a center armrest with cupholders and a convenient slide-and-tilt mechanism for easy access to the third row.
The 2024 CX-90 PHEV has over 70 cubic feet of maximum storage space with the second and third rows folded down, and occupants can enjoy more than 140 cubic feet of passenger volume.
Exploring the Cabin’s Technology
The 12.3-inch digitized driver-information center behind the Mazda’s steering wheel allows you to customize the displayed information. The cabin’s 10.25-inch infotainment screen can be operated with the ergonomic Multi-Function Commander Control knob, conveniently located next to the driver’s seat on the center console.
The standard MazdaConnect infotainment system includes Pandora, smartphone integration, voice commands, the E911 automatic emergency notification system, and Mazda Connected Services.
